I can't acces my wp-admin

  • Hello everyone,

    I am a very inexperienced user and using a word press theme as our company website.(it was uploaded on a server by a friend that i can’t get in contact with)
    For about 3-5 months i can’t access anymore https://www.cribo.ro/wp-admin, when i enter this address i get a white page. What can i do?

    I will greatly appreciate your help

  • a white page can be caused by adding new themes or plugins

    if you rename the specific theme folder for your theme wordpress will use its default theme 2010 11 12 13 2014

    you can then login and fix the problem

    also you can rename the whole plugins folder and that will turn off your plugins .. name it back to plugins and you will have to turn them on one at a time to see which one breaks your site.

    i have downloaded filezilla and modified the name of the folder Themes in the folder named WP-content. I managed to get the window where i write my username and password, but after that i once again recived a white screen. when i got back to the website i saw i was connected as in the upper part of the page were the meniu “add new” “comments” etc, but when i tried to aces any of them, i got a white screen again.

    Looking forward for any help in solving this.

    hey Bogdan you can log in in C Panel and change it from there.
    you can delete the theme and try to log in. There is a problem whit the theme or plugins.

    if doesn’t work let me know.

    Hello Ionut,

    I renamed the “theme” folder following this path: root / public html / wp content / themes. after doing so, when i accessed https://www.cribo.ro/wp-admin i got the window where i can write my username and password, but after i press enter i get a white window.

    Bogdan sterge tema….si incearca asa. Nu se sterge continutul, dar va trebui sa folosesti o alta tema si sa refaci situl cu informatiile existente pe el.
    Oricum si daca schimbi tema tot va va trebui sa refaci site-ul.
    Pe viitor sa instalezi o child theme pentru a nu mai avea asemenea neplaceri. Avantajul la child theme este ca daca se fac up-dates….se fac in parent theme si child theme ramane neafectat.

    To change the theme should i delete the old themes folder and copy a new theme folder by using file zilla?
    From where can i get a free theme?
