use in a windows hosted wordpress

I have wordpress hosted on a windows 7 machine.

The plugin is asking me to set the permissions for the import folder to 777.

I have the permissions as permissive as possible, how should I get this to work?

I suspect this is a check of permissions before it imports. If I bypass the check should I be hopeful that the rest of the script will work in windows?
