• I’ve been going through the forum here for two hours looking for someone with a similar problem to mine. First, the NextGEN gallery (2.0.59) was causing my RSS to error. I read that it was a conflict with another plugin, so I disabled that other plugin, but the feed was still scrambled. So I disabled NextGEN and now the feed works fine. Now I cannot get nextGEN to re-activate without the website getting a white screen of death. I literally changed NOTHING in the interim.

So I’m going through all these posts (for which there are no search option, I note, making it ever so painful) and I keep seeing references to the “latest” version being 2.0.57, 2.0.59, and 2.0.7? So which is it? The download says 2.0.59, which is the one I have, but the sticky note “DO NOT UNINSTALL..” says “If you are having issues with 2.0.0, you can now update to 2.0.7 which resolves many issues. That update is available from your WordPress dashboard.” I’m also seeing reference to this version in the forums on posts that are only a couple of days old.

Did I miss something? Regardless my problem is still there. Our site has a LOT of galleries and I’d hate to go through the process of converting to some other option, but at this point, that’s looking pretty good compared to the frustrating hours I’ve spent trying to find a solution.

@aaronturpen – First, I’ve unstuck that topic as it does not really apply still. Thanks for reminding us about the possible misunderstandings it can create.

As to the RSS feed issue and now the WSOD effect after activating NextGEN Gallery this does still seem to be a possible plugin conflict.

The easiest way to start troubleshooting this is to deactivate all other plugins before activating NextGEN Gallery and then re-activating the other plugins one at a time to check for if/when the conflict re-occurs.

I can understand the frustration trying to find information in these forums as the search functionality does leave a lot to be desired, and even with extensive Google-fu you would still be hard-pressed most of the time as well.

You are also welcome to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) with your site specifics and we can try to help you get this sorted out. We will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with the Bug Report.

    Thanks, again!

    – Cais.
