Bonfire of the Slideshows (Flickr Pulls the Plug)

    we are announcing that we are deprecating the support for our built-in sharing options for WordPress, Blogger and LiveJournal on 3/25. Deprecating features is never an easy decision, but we have seen that all of these services combined are now adding up to less than one percent of daily share volume from Flickr.

    Which means that if you use Flickr slideshows on your site, they are all now dead. Unless, as being rumoured, that Flickr is not to blame, but WordPress.
    Which is it?

    You’ll need to provide the reason why you think WordPress is responsible, when the default assumption is that Flickr has terminated this service as stated.

    I have no way of providing any such information.
    The visibility problem with Flickr slideshows seems to have cleared up but now, when I try to access any recent posts via my sidebar, I get the message:

    “! This is probably not the site you are looking for!
    You attempted to reach biginabox.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as *.wordpress.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of biginabox.com.
    You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.”

    Any suggestions?

    That’s a different issue altogether, which I can’t reproduce; I’m not getting that message at all.
