WordPress Search

I was wondering when wordpress might decide to update there forum search engine it long over due being upgrade and more in keeping with other sites. I find it totally bizarre that on a section for a particular plugin that you are not able to search under those items only and have to do a complete search of all post.

If you do search for something say nextgen Album links it does not show when that post was logged so it only when you go into the post that you realise it about 4 years old.

Please can we get wordpress search facility into the 21st Century please
