• Very simply I get a HTTP Error when uploading an image via the flash version of uploader. Not huge files, nothing special about them. The progress bar gets to 100% before I get the error.

If I go via the non-Flash version, I just get a blank (white) screen.

After looking through this forum for hours, every thread I read about this error suggests something different and I’ve ended up really confused.

Can anyone suggest any simple steps to try and narrow down what area of WordPress I might need to look at more closely?

There have been no new plugins, upgrades or changes since my last successful upload of media.

Anything in non-technical language would be appreciated! ??

  • This is commonly caused by an over-aggressive configuration of your server’s mod_security module. Try asking your hosts about it.
