[Theme: Virtue] Home Page Slider with one image

I have a single image set for the home page slider, with Auto Play turned off. It seemed to have worked at first but now I am getting a set of spinning dots showing on the banner. I can’t figure out what the “loading” spinner is try to show me or how to hide it.
