auto select specific values

  • Is there a way to auto select values in filter based on “my” current user values for specific filters?

    Example:
    I use languages for filtering.

    as a user I have selected languages I speak in my xProfle field, and then when I filter other members I have to select Languages again to get users that speak my languages.

    Is there a way to have automatically selected “my” languages in the filter?

    There is no direct way to do that, but you can always build your search form manually.

    Copy the generated form HTML using the View Source feature of your browser, then paste that HTML in a new page or text widget.

    Now you can add to your manual form a hidden field with the value you choose. If that value has to be dynamically set, as in your case, you’ll also need some PHP code, but I think you get the general idea to make it work.
