I am very upset. I just changed to this theme about 10 days ago and love the layout and look. last night WP did an automatic upgrade to 3.8.2. After the upgrade the mini sidebar (on left) is gone. All my settings are correct for it to show but I can not get it to re-appear. is this theme now not compatible with the upgrade. I just re-did my entire site around this theme 10 days ago and now it is not usable.

The new update isn’t a problem, I checked and it works fine.

Could you please post a link to your website.

Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

    In the meantime, try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

The mini sidebar is where it should be.

If you read the documentation you will find out that the mini sidebar appears only if your screen resolution is higher than 1600px (if not a “Browse More” button shows up in the menu).

are you kidding me! all because wp did an upgrade – how about since wp ruined my site – word press does all this for me!!!

So this is not a theme related problem? Please post your questions here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting

this is ridiculous – no support at all – I guess I could spend the rest of my life moving from forum to forum posting my problem and never getting a resolution. yes it is a theme related problem. the theme is not oeprating correctly

this is ridiculous – no support at all

You have had 6 responses in less than an hour! If the level of support on this free, volunteer-staffed forum is not sufficient for your needs, you may want to consider hiring someone instead.

I may have had 6 responses but none were helpful. I guess for the volunteer staff is quantity not quality

and, perhaps word press should consider having a non-volunteer support system since I do pay them and some of the volunteer staff is not helpful and nasty

WordPress.org does not take any money
    – please double check whom you are paying and then please contact them with your request for support.
