Product detail – external link – target="_blank"

I am working on one my affiliates WP pages to update my companies product information. The site and page I’m referencing is https://www.coachtawnee.com/store/products

Master Amino Acid Pattern (MAP) is the specific product that I am editing. I go into product details and add our external link so that when her customers click the Buy Now button it will link to our https://www.bodyhealth.com page with the correct affiliate code.

All of this works great so far. The problem that I’m having is that it redirects to our page in the same widow. I want to target a new window. I tried adding target=”_blank” to the end of the code like I would in the HTML but to no avail.

Is it possible to make this happen?
