Revisions for Custom Post Type Meta Fields

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how I can enable revisions for custom fields?

I have a load of custom post types, which have the revisions enabled but it doesn’t keep a revision for my custom meta fields… the revision works for the default editor / title elements but not the custom fields.

I have read that its not part of wordpress core but there must be a workaround? The best I have found seems to be this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/custom-field-revisions but its outdated and doesn’t seem to work properly for me, it never seems to revert to the correct revision… and the patch for the revision file he mentions doesnt seem to work… Or maybe I’m not doing it correctly!!
