Watermark position

  • Hi,

    I try to upload few photos into an album that has a watermark on the bottom-left position. After uploading, I noticed that the watermark is placed in the middle of the photo, so that is “center-center”.

    I tried other position, e.g. top-left and top-right, but still have the same result: “center-center”.

    Would you have a look into this issue?

    Note: My site is not online yet, sorry that I can’t show any thing online.

    You may have set your personal serttings different ( center center ) on an album admin -> manage photo information screen. This setting overrules the setting in the Settings page.

    I agree it is confusing, it will be changed in 5.3.0

    So: check if your setting on an albuma dmin page is the same as the ‘default’ setting in the Settings page ( Table IX-F3 )

    Yes, I did checked on the setting page. I changed to bottom-left for example. Then I go to the admin page, edit the album, upload a photo to the current album, check the setting once again (they are all the same as setting = “bottom-left”) before click on the “Upload Multiple/Single Photos” button. After this, the watermark is still showing on the “center-center” position of the photo.

    I also tried to set them all (setting and upload photo page) to “top-right” but the result stay the same as “center-center”. This means it’s more on the side of the center than on top or at the bottom.

    Please advise.

    The easiest way is: go to any photo ( that you do not really want or can replace ) in the album admin -> manage photos page and select a watermark file and position and press the Apply watermark button there. Now your personal settings are as what you specified here. ( at least… it should be ). As i said before: it will be much better in 5.3.0…

    Yep, I did tried that too, but it won’t help much. I can live with it and will wait for the next version. Just want to let you know that the position of the watermark are not worked as expected.
    I just upload the photo without watermark now and will try it later in the new version.

    Still want to express my thank for bring this plugin out and all the time and effort to manage it. It’s GREAT work. I believe that new version will bring good things as well.

    Note: Just want to let you know what I have noticed:
    Per default, the position is locked at “center-center”. If user don’t change this, it show up correctly in the middle of the photo, but if it’s messed up by changing the position, even when I set it at “bottom-right”, the watermark will show up higher than the middle position of the photo and it wasn’t at the bottom right corner. May be some thing for debugging or calculation?

    Maybe the canvas of the image is too big. Test it with wplogo.png
