• WordPress keeps “auto” updating itself everytime there’s a new version, but it seems to totally mess up my site each time. Quite frustrating as you can imagine. The first 2 updates caused all my JetPack options to de-activate. I only realized this when I went to show someone my site on my iphone and saw that the responsive version wasn’t working… so I went into Jetpack and discovered that every single option I had activated just randomly de-activated itself when the update to WordPress occurred.

But, now, what’s even worse is that I just got an email from WordPress saying they updated my site to 3.8.3…. and now none of my pages are showing up on the live site! My menu is there, and blog posts are there, but if I try to go to any pages it just says ” Hi there. You seem to be lost. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Perhaps it was there but now it’s gone. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?”

Literally none of the links to any of my pages (besides my landing page) work! I even tried just typing in the actual URLs – nothing works!

Does anyone know what’s going on????

Once I get this figured out (hopefully soon cause now my entire website is useless!) I hope to find a way to de-activate all future updates from WordPress, because I can’t afford to keep having them screw with my site. Should I maybe move to a different Content Management System and just call it quits with www.ads-software.com?

    Please help – thanks!!

  • Hello there,

having the same problem as a client updated to 3.8.3. and got a double of a Page in the list of Pages in the Dashboard, but another Page has completely disappeared with all the content it had: some 30 paragraphs.
Of course, they did not automagically reappear upon update to 3.9
    Any remedies?

    S.O.S.
