Featured Image Size Options?

If possible, how can I change the fixed size of the featured image? I would like to use the original size of the photo otherwise the colors desaturate and the photo sometimes looks a little distorted. If I cannot use the original size and it has to remain fixed, I would like to know what size parameters you have it set to so I can adjust my photos accordingly to match.
