• Hi i installed the WP2Cloud program but it will not activate. everytime i try it goes to a blank screen and says the following:

“Cannot create wp_cloud_media_content table — MySQL error: Unknown table engine ‘ClouSE’ WP2Cloud requires the Cloud Storage Engine for MySQL (ClouSE) to be installed and configured on the MySQL server. As an example of property configured ClouSE and WP2Cloud you can use WordPress on S3 / WordPress to Google.”

    How can i resolve this?

WP2Cloud needs ClouSE to be installed in the MySQL. If you cannot install ClouSE into your primary MySQL server, you can use a separate MySQL server as a Media Server (see this post for example).

I am having the same problem but, I have a Media Server created with ClouSE installed and running. I can also access MySQL on the media server from the other EC2 instance and I have received the error as well.

Anything else that would interfere with the two servers talking to each other?

    Hi Ryan,
From the support case that we have open, it looks like that on the high level you’re doing the right steps, we just need to debug and see what’s preventing the connection from happening.

Cloud this be somehow related to networking internally at Amazon. It seems like an external server can see the Media Server instance just fine but, an internal EC2 instance can not see it but, I can connect with the mysql client from the internal EC2 server.

With the help of additional information provided by Ryan, we were able to identify the problem and will release a fix soon.
