• After updated to WordPress 3.9, the Visual Editor doesn’t work anymore. It shows just a white, blank screen like other threads. I’ve read many threads and found that there’s a problem with MailPoet plugin. So I disabled it, logged out, cleared browser cache, flush DNS, and login again, but the Visual Editor still doesn’t work. So I tried disabling all plugins and used Twenty Fourteen theme. Didn’t work also.

    P.S. The Text Editor works.

  • The editor underwent a major update with the inclusion of TinyMCE version 4.

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins.
    2. Switch to default TwentyFourteen theme.
    3. Manually empty browser cache.

This should fix the editor. I know it sounds like you already tried these steps.. but it never hurts to try again ??

Also, test from a different browser… or a few different browsers.

check your hosting error log. Is there any error ?

Also try Update > re-install now

Ps : always take backup before doing anything ??

    Thanks everyone!

I disabled all plugins and switch to Twenty Fourteen theme again. This time it worked! So I reactivate all plugins one-by-one and keep refreshing the editor page. No plugin was found to be having a problem. So I activate Codilight theme, then the Visual Editor is gone again.

Now I know that the problem is with the theme. I’m gonna report it to the developer.

    ??
    Good work!
