• After hitting 3.9 update button in WordPress yesterday, I can no longer get into my blog at all and only get this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_register_plugin_realpath() in /home/content/92/8889792/html/wp-settings.php on line 213

My blog is experiencedbadmom.com. I use Modern Blogger Pro theme and GoDaddy hosting.

I see suggestions online about this problem to deactivate plug-ins but I can’t get into wp-admin so unsure how to deactivate. The #3 step using FTP instructions to deactivate plugins here on WordPress Support is to login to wp-admin but I can’t.

Plugins were askimet, commentluv, complete-central-backup, genesis grid loop, genesis simple edits, jetpack, jquery pin-it button for images, pinterest pin it button, regenerate thumbnails and simple social icons.

I blog as a hobby and do not make any $$. GoDaddy wants $150 for disaster backup of my site to be restored. I’d like to fix it myself if possible. Hard to believe pushing one button destroyed everything. ??
