Non-US telephone is not transferred

This plugin is wonderful and does so many things that some other plugins ask for money to do. I’ve set up my first form, but I encountered a problem. While I have set the telephone field to required and I have filled it in, I realized that the phone number isn’t transferred to PayPal. Is it a known issue, is it meant to act so, or is it my own fault?
