'Homepage' Optimization
-
Hi,
No doubt this has been covered, and if it has then I apologise, but there’s a problem in even searching for an answer as I cannot work out what to search for!
I’m quite used to setting up WP sites containing pages and posts, and the SEO therein that results.
I’ve now come across the ‘Fifteen’ theme which is excellent, but to my mind is a whole new ball game regarding SEO, as for the theme to work properly, the homepage must be a posts page rather than a static one.
There must be plenty of WP users that use this format, so my question is:
When you’re SEO-ing a static homepage, its plainly obvious what to optimise and where to add titles, descriptions, and other items of general SEO-ery, especially if using something like Yoast.
But when you’re trying to optimise a homepage that just contains posts, there’s no obvious ‘page’ to optimise, so how and where do you do your optimising in this case?
Thanks for any help!
