adding a rating/voting system for links

Hello,

I have been searching high and low for a rating/voting system that records and displays results for content other than the proverbial post, page or comment.

I have an original music website that I want to allow users to vote/rate on songs. Now I have over 170 songs to date and I would like to avoid having to create 170 individual posts or pages to accomplish a simple rating/voting system for each song.

As of now, this is my idea.

I would create an artist category. IE. Slampagne

I would create a post that would contain all of the songs from Slampagne’s first album. These songs would be links.

So say 14 links in the traditional Slampagne – Hello Dolly

I already have an audio player plugin that automatically creates links to mp3s into a small player.

Ideally I would like to put some sort of rating/voting shortcode [rating] below the links of each song.

So the end result would look something like:

Click to listen: Slampagne – Hello Dolly
3 stars
Rate/vote on this song: 1/5 stars

So it would display the current rating/voting and underneath it would be the option for users to rate/vote. (some sort of drop down)

There has to be something out there that does this? On the wordpress plugin pages people can vote on plugins and the results of the voting are displayed. I assume that its a seprate function all together from posts, pages and comments.

I am completely blind so apologize if the examples don’t look visually correct.

Any help would be most appreciated.
