This is a fantastic theme for me, been searching for the ‘perfect’ theme for awhile and I think this is the one – so thank you for that!

However, I’ve ran into two problems after managing to center the menu and posts.

Firstly: Can I delete the ‘Category: etc’ that gets displayed under the header on a page?

Secondly: Is there a way to make the black box over the header image opaque or to delete it? I’d still ideally like the title and sub-heading just not the ‘box’ that sits behind the text but over my header.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Craig,

    Glad you like it!

    1) You can remove the text in front of the category/tag/date by editing archive.php.

    2) You can make the box in the header opaque by going to line 254 in style.css. Make a line break afterbackground: #1d1d1d; and add the code background: rgba(0,0,0,0.5). That way, the box will be opaque on browsers that support RGBa values and use the background color #1d1d1d on browsers that doesn’t.

Let me know if you need any more help!

Hey Anders, thanks for the reply.

I’m pretty dumb and can’t work out what you mean by the first point. Basically I’m just trying to get the ‘Category: fighting talk’ that sits above the category description away from this page: https://thecagedtype.co.uk/category/fighting-talk/

Can you explain in laymans terms how to get rid of it? (I’m sorry I’m so bad at this.)
