I just installed this too and changed it to Simplified Chinese and it is not showing anything translated either. For example, the date format still is English, the Share/Tweet/Email text in the Share area is in English, and the Previous Post/Next Post is also in English still. Also the comment area is still in English as well as the “Bck to top” and “Mobile/Desktop” text.

If you need me to help translate that please let me know. Takes me 2-4 minutes to translate all the strings and send back to you~

Anyone else have this problem with Languages? Anyone found a workaround?

    thanks, now it works

Yes ?? That works almost perfectly. It does fix everything fine, but I see the date is still in English instead of Chinese format. So for example it still says “April 15, 2014” instead of at least “2014-04-15” or at best “2014年04月15日”. But I do see everything else is correctly in Chinese.

Is there a way to change this date format in the PRO version for the date language in the templates? If so, then we will buy the PRO version. But if even the PRO version lacks it then we need to not move this plugin onto a live version of WP ?? My deadline to decide for my client was yesterday May 1, but I can extend it through the weekend before deciding.

I just installed the update 3.2.4.1 which says it has translation updates, but the bug that is fixed on this thread and the Chinese dates are still incorrect.

    Hi,

Thank you for letting us know about this. We have made note of it and will aim at addressing it in a later release soon.

Thank you, once my clients see the changes we will go Pro for them. Be nice also include Chinese-language font as well if Chinese is chosen as language?

Off topic of this thread: be nice to see a “sticky” ad banner option on Pro at the bottom of screens.

Let’s hope the next revision will fix all languages issues for good. Same for French. I would have gone to pro for long long time if localization was working.

3.3.4 still had the English dates on the Chinese pages.

update to 3.4 and dates for Chinese are messed up and all display the current date rather than the date the post published.

WPtouch Pro 3.4.9 still has this big issue. The changelog for WPtouch Pro 3.4.9 says it fixed international date issues, but for Chinese is still shows English. What is the estimated time you plan to have a fix for this? We have the paid version (PRO) of the plugin.

Any timeline for fixing this ongoing issue?

Any news on fixing this? I have a Paid subscription… I am posting the info here because your own support is good but does not give definitive info.

Also, have a perpetual problem updating your Pro app on different sites that are on different machines — often it will say my version is already at the latest version but it still shows I should update…. it may be a caching issue, but if it is please fix it as it is an issue withou plugin and not our setups — I have been using WordPress for almost 8 years and have never had this repetitive plugin update issue that is able to be duplicated on different machines and websites… Many thanks for your good plugin ??
