• Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Is this being generated from your theme or a plugin? What does the actual URL look like on your end? Could be a bunch of different things causing this.

I changed the Permalink setting back to default, cleared catches and it still puts links on top of main URL.

I disabled most the plugins trying to figure it out. I’m thinking it is coming from the theme. The sidebar social links are a plugin but the social links on the bottom are built into the theme. Both are having the issue.

This is what the links look like.

    Thanks for the help guys!

If you’re getting links like that it means that you’ve forgotten to add the https:// to the front of them and just left them as Facebook, as an example.

This tells the browser that it’s ahrt of the current site, not an external site. All you need to do is add in the https:// and they’ll work as you epect.

    Facebook
