I’ve been playing around with my discussion settings, but still can’t figure this out. When someone new visits my site, I don’t want them to have to register before posting a comment.

Rather, I want my site to have the form that displays the name, email and website fields along with the area for a comment.

I understand that this may lead to spam, but I am on the site enough and have few enough visitors that this is not a concern right now.

How can I set my blog up to behave this way? The site is at https://www.delonte.com/

    Thanks!

    Life saver. ??

Even if you don’t get much traffic, spam-bots could find your site, so watch out & use Akismet.

I have a question… If you’re using Akismet and SpamKarma, on a well-traffic’d site, is it safe to allow unregistered users to comment? I’ve never tried it.

Seems safe. TechCrunch.com (as an example) is very well traffic’d and doesn’t mandate registration.

Of course, you don’t know how much behind-the-scenes “fixing” goes on either….
