Backup to my computer or server?

  • Backup gives the option of backing up to the server or to your own computer. Which is the “better” practice and why?

    common-sense, think about it.

    the server crashes, so goes your web site and your backups that are stored on it..

    Thanx. That was my thought and what I did but just wondered if there was any advantage for reinstalling by backing up to server

    nope, you did right.. I have a folder on another drive (off c:\) that has backups going back as far as early 2005.

    I do regular backups and do an extra one whenever I make major changes to anything.
