Text To Visual Scripting Removes Itself

  • When I change from text to visual a part of my embedded script disappears. Your last update completely wiped the following from all of my pages. Now I have to find a way to replace all the parts your update removed.

    Changes to

    I really wish you wasn’t faceless as I’d like a response and to know if you can magically put right what you’ve made go wrong!

    I’ve just checked and it’s still working on pages I haven’t updated. But if I edit pages then that part of the script disappears.

  • Don’t switch editing tabs. That’s the fastest way to remove some (or all) of your markup. Pick a tab and stick to it.

    Thanks for the advice but easier said than done, I write in visual and add images in visual and add the code and html in text. It’s not a plugin, it’s their last update that did it.

    WordPress created the problem, they should now fix it please and put it back to how it was. What if I enclose the script in some other commands, does that work?

    The script worked fine before the last update.

    Actually, the TinyMCE editor has always stripped out most added HTML markup for as long as I can recall.

    No. Have you reviewed Using_Javascript?

    Well it still works as long as I save the final edit in text. However would be nice if wordpress correct what they changed as it worked before 3.9. I’ll ask my developer if there’s another way to enact the open window on click as well as bookmark but I shouldn’t be needing to change anything.
