How to make portfolio page as home page?

    Hi,

    I would like to make my portfolio page (with all the items) as my home page. When I make a page with a portfolio grid as my static front page, the portfolio items do not display anymore. Is there a way to make the portfolio page as the home page of the website?

    So this is a feature in virtue premium, you can use a portfolio module and have a portfolio grid on the home page. But with free you have to delete the file front-page.php

    That will allow you to have a different page template as your home page, but it will mean that the home page slider and all other home page settings won’t work.

    I deleted all the content from front-page.php so that it is blank. But the home page is empty when I set it to my portf0lio page. Is there anything else I can do?

    I have never used portfolio grid before but there are many plugins which use specific page templates. You have to adjust your other pages to accommodate for this purpose. It more than likely requires you index.php you can go into your admin panel and set in the general settings for it to be static. If you have develop something else on this page you can rename the other page-whatever.php. Make sure you comment at the top template name: whatever.

    Thanks for the replies. For other newbies, the PHP file can be deleted by going to the cpanel from the web hosting site.
