Nedd Exact Syntax for Custom Field Exclude Share for Specific Pages

    Hi,
    I love this plugin, which looks beautiful and is very flexible.

    I’m trying to exclude the Share This icons from specific pages.

    I have added a Custom Field and entered the value:
    synved_social_exclude_share

    but I cannot figure out how to set this field to “Yes”!

    Can somebody please show me the exact syntax for setting this field to yes or really explain it to me as if I was stupid – because I am obviously being a bit dumb here

  • There is a text/edit entry for the name and then one for the value next to it in the UI.

    Thanks, that’s fixed it.
    The syntax is quite specific, for example, you need to put “yes” with a lower-case y, not “Yes”.

    In the Custom Field Name box you need to enter: “synved_social_exclude_share”

    In the Custom Field Value box you enter: “yes”

    To get Custom Fields to show-up in the first place, at the top-right of your Page/Post screen, select ‘Screen Options’ and under ‘Show on Screen’ tick the ‘Custom Fields’ box.
