• When I try to use the plugin I get the following message: Add Link to Facebook – Motivation: Add link: Facebook error: (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action @ 2014-05-01T15:16:37+00:00

I have followed the FAQ extremely carefully, I have reactivated the plugin several times and even created a second app just to test if the permissions were all being correctly set.

I also tried disabling plugins…. any other suggestions? :/

Google search + FAQ did not help, my theory is that for some reason the app cannot properly grab all of my facebook permissions and there is no clear way to add them.

That’s cool. Just letting you know that there might be an issue since Facebook updated the way they allow app permissions for users. They mentioned it at their conference yesterday, there’s also an article here: https://www.insidefacebook.com/2014/04/30/facebook-gives-users-more-options-for-login-app-permissions/

I have no idea if this is causing the problem for me but regardless the plugin is broken on my site.

    Authorization still works fine.

    Hello!
I have the same problem. I set up a new site and a new app.
    If I click on “Autorisieren”:
    Above:

The following permissions have not been approved for use: read_stream, manage_pages und user_groups.
If you make your app public, they will not be shown to people using your app. Submit them for review or Mehr dazu.

    Middle:

APP NAME erh?lt folgende Informationen: ?ffentliches Profil, Neuigkeiten und Gruppen.
    Von dir angegebene Infos bearbeiten

    Below:

Damit kann die App nicht auf Facebook posten.

If i click ok the plugin says its all fine.

But if I add a post in wordpress this Error is shown in custom field:
Add link: Facebook error: (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action

And nothing is on the facebook wall (tested it with the site and own profile…).

    Best!

Adding links to Facebook still works if the plugin is setup correctly.

    Hello,
I added it here, cause I get the same error like the OP.

I set up the plugin correctly. I did exactly what the instructions say.

I only pasted what facebook shows when I authorize the app. It says:
“The App cant post on facebook”.

The plugin says all is fine in backend but it dont work.
    Best

Tobo I already tried disabling all plugins and it still does not work. I also tried reactivating.

Do you know any way to actually change the app permissions on facebook? I think if you go to facebook > privacy settings > aps > the name of your app you can see what permissions it has, however I do not how to add a “post to wall” permission or something similar.

When you authorize the plugin, which you can do again by pressing the authorize button again, the plugin asks Facebook for the permissions it needs. Be sure to allow all requested permissions.

    1. I click on Authorization:
    Facebook opens:

    -Step 2:

    2. Plugin says all is ok:

    3. Try to make a post, error:

    4. Click on authorization button again, only the current page reloads:

Does your Facebook application happen to be in sandbox mode?
