Ok. I am stuck and confused. I am a newbie concerning this whole blogging thing. My website is: https://www.adaywiththekiddles.com. I just switched over from using weebly (because it was time consuming) to wordpress. I like wordpress but I don’t know how to get my website up. I went onto one of our tablets and went to my website and it pulled up the website I had from weebly. I have uploaded several things onto wordpress. When I view my site on wordpress, it pulls up the correct one, but it also has my name and email address in all the forms (like in the subscribe area). It also has the wording from their website on their: like “Your posts will show below when you enable them” Below that are all my posts. There is also a “Use of Widgets” widget in my footer that I did not put there and do not know how to get rid of. Can anyone help me? I do not know what to do!
    Thanks, Samantha

  • The tablet’s browser is probably caching your old page, so it is nothing to worry about. Clear the cache and refresh, you will most likely see your new site. I think probably your browser is helpfully pre-populating your forms with the equivalent field it has from a previous form fill you did. So the rest of us can’t see your info. Ask a few friends to look at your site to see if they see it, this is also probably nothing to worry about.

As for the footer, why don’t you do what it says? In your dashboard, go to APPEARANCE->WIDGETS and look for that text widget in your footer. Open it up and clear out those instructions, you might want to put something of yours in there.
