[v2.0.65] lightbox function to every image

I give the lightbox function a try and test it a little bit for my site. There is an option where to use thje lightbox. I set it to ‘try it on all pictures’ and it work for all shown pictures on my site. So far – so good.

I have in my text some links to pictures with a simple href link.
Exampel <a href="https://www.domain.tld/wp-content/gallery/test/test.jpg">test picture</a> If I click such a link the picture comes up without a lightbox effect. Is this correct?

Is there a way to use the lightbox feature on links too? If yes I can delete another plugin I use for this.
