I would like to have a static home page which links to multiple subsites using the cloned copies of my fifteen theme. I have been told by my son-in-law who is a network engineer, that having subsites does not require separate host accounts from a network administrative standpoint. 1) Would the architecture of WordPress require separate websites for each subsite?
    2) Or would each subsite require a separate installation of WordPress?
    3) For that matter is there any problem having multiple installations of WordPress on one website?

  • Take it easy bro, you have to install separate installation for each subdomain (Subsite) and also for sub domain:
    Just like that :

    sub.mydomain.com
    mydomain.com/sub

for both ways you have to intall separately and there is no any problem, you can use more than one subsites and its depends on your hosting servers.

    Hi,
Thanks for the information, but I’m still not too clear on how to go about it. Can you direct me to a tutorial or something?

    Dear OB,
i cleared you that you have to separately installation of wordpress for each subdomain & sub directory.

and there is no any problem in installation more than one.

    anything more ?

Sorry, I understand that I can. What I am not too clear on is the how. I’m a newbee to WordPress. Just unlearned.
