Dashboard Password Nag

I am using version 3.9.10 which is working beautifully except I have users setting their own password and it works to log in, but on the dashboard it shows the nag notice “You’re using the auto-generated password for your account …etc”, I can see the plugin does set functions for default_password_nag so there may be a bug(?). Right now I am disabling it with a custom function but would like to know if there is a way to achieve this from the plugin settings. Thanks!
