I’ve been running my website for nearly a year without a problem. Now, if I try to upload a photo from my hard drive or directly from the camera’s SD card, I get a red message saying “http error.” It doesn’t happen on every photo.

When I try to upload, each photo takes a few minutes before it either succeeds or give me the error message. Each takes a few minutes to upload. Some succeed and some give me the error message.

    Any ideas?

  • Did you change the acquisition resolution on the camera to something higher than 72dpi? The larger images might be timing out on your server before they complete upload.

Your images may be too large. Try checking your site’s error logs for ‘out of memory’ messages to confirm this. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

I haven’t changed any of the setting on the camera. It’s a point and shoot Canon Powershot and all I do is point and shoot.

I’ve been using this same camera since I started the website.

I found the problem….my VPN was blocking the uploads. When I turned it off, the uploads acted like normal.
