Order details on the checkout page being hidden

  • We’re experiencing a problem on the checkout page of our website. https://www.tivydale.com/checkout/

    It was working fine a few weeks ago, but since we updated the latest version of WordPress, things aren’t working properly.

    Scenario:

    1. Add products to your basket
    2. Proceed to the checkout page
    3. Watch as order details section gets hidden, and instead shows “-1” !

    Why is this happening? It used to work fine but a customer has just pointed this out to us now.

    Sorry about this, however I can’t seem to reproduce the issue in Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.

    Could the details on how to reproduce this be further elaborated on?

    This is what I just did:

    1. Cleared all cookies
    2. Clicked the “Shoes” category
    3. Clicked the “Olivia” product
    4. Chose “Europe 36” as the option, and then “Add to Cart”
    5. Clicked “View Cart” in the grey box that appears
    5. Clicked “Proceed to Checkout”

    The order details initially show for a second on the page, but then disappear to be replaced by “-1”.

    This is in Chrome. What happens when you reproduce this? We’ve tried this in Firefox also.

    Strange, I still can’t seem to reproduce this.

    Hi Shane,

    It seems this was only ocurring when we were logged in as admin. Logging out means the problem goes away.

    Any ideas why this would happen though?

    If it’s only happening when logged in, it probably has something to do with a plugin that is only active when a user is logged in.

    I would recommend playing plugin detective and disabling plugins that fit this description; then figuring out which is causing the “-1” to appear based on simply refreshing the page when a new plugin is disabled.
