Large amount of emails post-installation

Since I updated to the new WordPress, I’m being inundated with emails from WordPress (10 – 20 a day). The emails say:
“Howdy! Your site at https://www.eahrnk.org has been updated automatically to WordPress 4.0-alpha-20140511.
No further action is needed on your part. For more on version 4.0, see the About WordPress screen:
