• this apparently is an issue with all the posts i see but i have not found a solution that works for me.
At some point in the past I was able to do this easily – i don’t know what part of my brain i lost but i can’t do it now.

when i go to pages/all pages there is a list of pages. the only one that does not have a submenu is HOME so I can’t select EDIT. If I clk on home what I get is a page that allows me to “setup” a home page – header, footer, theme, etc and I can chg the text in those items. BUT I cannot access the content of the page to chg it as I can with the edit fct on the other pages.

Please tell me how to do this.

My front page is set to HOME and my posts page is set to BLOG

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    thx for the reply
r u saying that on the pages/all pages screen the HOME tab should also have the submenus with EDIT on it?

    It never has.

maybe I need to chg the front page to another page, edit the home page and chg it back.

HOWEVER, that is not how I edited the home page previously.

Did you try any of the suggestions above?
