Problem with adding an extra image

  • I recently noticed that when I try to add an extra image from anywhere on my site (page or post) the screen gets dark and I am not able to select an image. I don’t have that problem with the featured image. I found a work-around by right clicking the “extra image” link and opening it in a new window. However, I would still like to figure out what the problem is.

    I don’t know if this is related or not, but I also have not been able to access my Brankic Shortcodes since I updated to 3.9.1. Perhaps these are both problems with the new version of WordPress?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
