    Hi,

I have created a user account originally with an email and username. The username has been set up incorrectly and I want to create a new user account and re-use the same email address used.
I then have deleted this original account and received the notification message saying this user has been deleted, then searched in the Users section to ensure the entry does not appear and it doesn’t.
However, when I go to create a new WP Member using a brand new username and the same email address from the no-deleted account, I get the message:
“ERROR: This email is already registered, please choose another one.”

Can you please assist with this, if it is a setting in WP Members and/or a WordPress core issue, or any other answers in relation to this issue?

    Thank you,

    Ronan Kealy

Not sure what would cause that. I would suggest taking a look in the database to verify it’s not there.

Also, that error message is not a WP-Members error message – in looks like one from the WP default registration, so I would also ask, are you using WP-Members?

if you are using WordPress multisite and deletet the account on one site it still exists in the network and you get that error. you have to delete the account in the network as well.

Hello, I have been unable to reuse an email address for a free WP blog. This email address was attached to a free WP blog that I recently deleted. The address is not used for any other free or paid blog. What should I do now?
