Slider
-
Hi, How do I customize the slider to include my own photos? and what is the ideal size?
-
First, make a new post with heading, description and featured image.
Click on Slider tab option in the Theme Option Menu.
Select the post that you want to show for each slider.
The heading of the post works as Caption title.
The description of the post works as a Caption Description.
The featured image of the post works as an image.
The best size of the image is 1900 X 550. You can also upload images of any size but, all the images must be of same size.PLEASE READ THE DOCUMENTATION..
I always use 3000px for full-screen sliders, so it looks good on most screens. 1900px doesn’t look good on 27″ iMac for example, but 3000px fills up the screen.
Thanks Access Keys and Hoggehogg for the feedback greatly appreciated it
Thank you
Never mind, I figured it out. It is the post title and the body of the post, in case anyone else has my same issue.

I don’t understand what fields you are referring to in the documentation, with “heading of the post” and “description of the post”.Hey I’m new to WordPress and am trying to customize your Theme and keep running into a problem while trying to update the slider images.
This is what it looks like currently:
https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FfVBLvfhURI/VEWCP53prII/AAAAAAAABbc/ZfVIfY_gw1c/s1600/HELP_1.jpgand after I follow the easy instructions, creating a new post, adding the image, using the post title as the Caption Title and the body as the description, as soon as I point it to use the post, this is what it looks like:

Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Neeeeeeeever mind….. I was adding the photos like any other picture, and didn’t use the “Featured Image” uploader. WHOOPS!
Hours spent poking around in WordPress yesterday, and cannot figure out how to remove the phone number that comes on theme by default. Anyone know how?
It is under basic settings/header text
I’m trying to change the sliding pictures to add my pictures I cant figure it out. Can anyone help?
Hi,
To create Sliders you’ll please follow these steps:
>> Create a Post with title, content and assign image via ‘featured-image’.
>> Then you may assign those post as slider From Dashboard > Theme Options > Slider Settings in slider1, sider2, …>> Alternatively, You may also create posts under a category and assign that category as slider so all the posts from that category is displayed in slider (you need to select “category posts as slider” for this)
Thanks,How do I prevent the posts used to change the slider images (or any post used to change/update website elements like the welcome post section, testimonials, events, etc.) from being displayed in the ‘Recent Posts’ section? I only want those ‘posts’ to change/update the website, not be part of the blog archive. Thanks.
Hello. I have a slightly different query. I would like to keep the two default images that come with the lite slider, but would like to change the text. I guess I could figure out how to create the post and the header for the text, but where do I find the file name for the 2 images that come with the installation? I am using a static home page. Is this achievable on a static home page? Thanks.
Though I should note here that I figured out how to keep the default slider and changed the text. I found the code in the extra.php file. Thanks
I am using accesspress lite as a website, with static homepage like webbitnz. I’m working from a child theme (accesspress-lite-child).
My problem is that I can change the slider image and caption text by creating a post with featured image, but the post is displayed beneath the slider on the static front page. We don’t want anything on the front page except the slider and caption, as we are not using the script as a blog but as a website.
I then created an extra.php file under the inc directory in the child theme, editing the line where the default slider captions appear. But this had no effect on the front page. However, editing the text in the extra.php file under the inc directory in the parent theme does produce the desired modifications. Only problem is the front page will lose these mods when the script is next updated – because the changes were under the parent and not the child theme.
So how can I control the slider caption without either displaying a post on the front page or having to continually edit the extra.php file under the parent?
Would be a real shame if this could not be done, as it is a lovely script and we will use it and buy the pro if we can have full customisation control without having to re-write large portions of script.
