Not accepting password, can't log out

Don’t have the tech know-how to realize what the issue is here, but with iThemes Security installed and active, I can’t log in to my site. Running 4.2.4 with WP 3.9.1.
In order to log in I had to deactivate the plugin via ftp, and once logged in and having activated iThemes Security again, I couldn’t log out.
For this personal site of mine with me as the only registered user this is of course not a big deal. For others it certainly might be.
(Oh, and password recovery doesn’t respond either..)
