    Hi AME Network,

The problem is not with All in One SEO Pack which is configured correctly and working fine. The problem is with a plugin called Ajax Login Register Meta Tags which is also outputting Open Graph meta which is output before All in One SEO Pack outputs its Open Graph meta. The meta output by Ajax Login Register Meta Tags s incorrect so you should contact the developer of that plugin.

    Hi wpsmort,

We didn’t mean to suggest that All in One SEO Pack was the cause, but that we were trying to use it to solve this. Thanks very much for taking a look and pinpointing the actual source of the issue. Fortunately, this is the only site we’re using the Ajax Login plugin on. We will notify the developer as you suggest. Cheers!

    Hi AME Network,

Not a problem. We’ve had a lot of forum posts about Facebook not displaying posts correctly when shared and most of these have turned out to be either due to other plugins which are adding incorrect Open Graph meta or due to Facebook testing things with the way they display websites that have been shared. It seems that Facebook are heading down the same road as Google in that they only take your Open Graph meta as a suggestion and decide whether to use it or generate their own title and description. In your case it’s a badly behaving plugin but it’s worth noting that once you get that issue fixed you may still see that Facebook doesn’t display shared posts exactly as you want. If the Facebook debug tool shows no errors then you’re fine and all you can do is hope that Facebook uses what you have provided.

    wpsmort,

We’ve deactivated the plugin to test your diagnoses and everything looks good in the debugger. So, until the plugin author responds with a fix (most free plugin authors around here do not respond as quickly as you), we can deactivate the plugin when sharing a post to FB.

    Thanks again!
