• We host on Network Solutions, and our main site (non-WP)is fairly large (https://www.fortgordon.com/).
I am tasked with designing a new WP site, so I installed WP to a subfolder (https://www.fortgordon.com/fgweb_new/).
We also have a second WP site running in a subfolder, as well (https://www.fortgordonfyi.com/).

We purchased the Invert theme, which uses the Revolution Slider.
Invert functions fine until I activate the Revolution slider, then the entire dashboard freezes, and returns 500: internal server error.
The only way to get back in is to rename the slider plugin through FTP, and the theme functions again.

However, installing Invert on a different host (Bluehost) works without a problem, even with the Revolution Slider activated.

Because Revolution Slider was included in the theme purchase, they offer no support, directing us to contact the Invert theme developers for support.
The Invert theme support responded that they had no problems when Revolution Slider is activated, leading to the conclusion that the problem lies with Network Solutions.

Network Solutions suggested increasing the memory limit in the php.ini file would solve the problem, but it had no effect, even when increasing to the maximum of 1GB.
They were unable to offer any other solutions.

We installed the theme in our other functioning WP site folder (https://www.fortgordonfyi.com/), and the same thing happens – freezing when Revolution slider is activated.
This WP site has been running for over a year, although admittedly it has always been somewhat laggy.

Could it be having multiple WP installations, all in subfolders?
Reading through these forums indicates that isn’t the case, but I don’t know for sure.

Research on Google indicates it could possibly be an issue with the .htaccess file, or having multiple .htacess files.
Is the main .htaccess file creating problems for the .htaccess files in the WP folder?

Even that seems unlikely in that it’s only when Revolution slider is activated that there’s a problem, and only when it’s on out Network Solutions host.

Has anyone encountered similar issues, and if so, offer a solution?
This has reached critical mass for us!

Thank you for any and all help.

I would contact the developer/vendor of your commercial theme the support.

    I did.
It’s detailed in my original post.

Nah, don’t think this is the issue.

Have you tried getting in touch with the “revolution slider” vendor?

    https://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380

Here are the requirements for the slider to function. I’d make sure you have these specs:

Version 4.3.8 SkyWood release Date 27.04.2014
    Wordpress 3.9 Ready
    jQuery 1.7.x – jQuery 1.10.x and jQuery 2.+ Compatible

Because the plugin was included with the purchased theme, the plugin vendor won’t offer support, although I submitted a support request anyway.

    I hope that’s it.
Even though we just purchased the theme within the past month, the version of Revolution Slider that was included is only 4.1.4, so I just submitted a ticket requesting upgrade to 4.3.8

And yes, we have WP 3.9 installed.

Thanks for your reply, and I’ll be sure to post results.
