Comments on Blog Template page

So i made a separate page for blog entries. Curiously, it does not display the [comment] link at the bottom of them. If i show the blog loop on the main page, it does show it there. And i notice if i remove blog.php, it breaks the separate blog page but not the blog entries on the main page – so something different must be driving that, right? Is it just content.php? Can i rip some of that code out and fix the blog.php?
