• Hi!

    I realized that player data are disappearing even when I don’t edit the data. Time to time I will check on the team list of players and I will notice missing rows of players. Upon checking the players data, I realized the name and number is wiped out (blank), hence not displayed on the team list.

    I have no idea why this happens. Please help.

    Thanks for writing. I think you are describing the dreaded ‘disappearing data’ trick that has been reported in these forums from time to time. Unfortunately, no one has been able to give me the steps to reproduce it. Until I can reproduce it, I cannot fix it. If you read through these forums, you will find a number of suggestions, none of which have panned out to date. If you have any more ideas on how I consistently reproduce what you are seeing, I’d be happy to try to help. The biggest problem is that I have not been able to determine if it’s a problem in the software (perhaps a plugin or theme conflict for example?) or something in the database (some corruption perhaps?) You can certainly remove and re-install the plugin, which should not cause the loss of any data (but back it up first just in case). You could also try backing up your site (files and DB) and re-installing it from scratch.

    Hi,

    I have been searching the forums and none of the suggestions helped.

    Think the reason why no one is giving the steps, is cause the issue happens suddenly so none of us know what happened.

    On my side, I have not edited the team profiles for at least a month and I just checked on the site a week ago and found the missing biodata.

    I don’t think its a theme or plugin issue as I have tested it on localhost and it has been running for months on the production environment without any issue.

    Hi,
    I agree with your comment about it happening suddenly for no apparent reason. That’s what makes it hard to debug.

    If it’s not a theme issue or a plugin issue and you have tested it and have run it for months without issue, what is it? Some database issue? Did you recently update the plugin? Or something else?

    Appreciate your input, but this hasn’t happened on the development or production sites in the past year (at least), so sorry, but I remain stumped.
