Single page website not a blog

  • I want to produce a simple 1 page website without a blog.I have looked at a number of 1 page themes but all have a blog attached.
    Can any one give me guidance?

  • You can use any theme to create a non-blog site if you create a static front page and do not publish any Posts.

    I had sort of guessed that but wanted confirmation. I’m trying to use the One Page theme. If I understand correctly:
    I can switch off the blog bit and just have a static front page, with links for Skype and email. Is that correct?
    I assume I can also disable the sample blog page so that I just have a Home page. How do I do that?
    Once disabled it will be silly to have HOME displayed. How do I remove that?
    And finally how and where do I edit the Home page?
