How to use these search attributes such as 'owner'?

you can use placeholders in your formatting settings at events > settings > formatting or shortcode; also, search attributes can be used in shortcodes

or does that not work.

It needs to be in this format, where 5 is the ID of the user you want to show event to:

[event_list owner=5]

Because you need to get the user ID, you’d normally need to use that type of shortcode in a PHP template.

Can you explain a bit more about what you want to do? There might be an easier way.

In detail I have 2 plugins also installed: Paid membership pro and Page builder, the latter works with widgets and I really recommend it!

each user will have a profile page.

I also think it would be cool if on that same page are displayed: an event list and venue list, both with events and venues made by that specific user. So each user has such a list on there profile page,the profile page is private to them.

Oh yeah they work fine together, page builder just display’s widgets within a blog post or page. And one of those widgets is an HTML widget with can contain the shortcodes en placeholders.

I think the only way to do what you want is to use a shortcode like this:

[event_list owner=5]

If you wanted to use it dynamically in a PHP template – to get the current users ID – you’d need to use it like this:

$user_ID = get_current_user_id();
echo do_shortcode("[event_list owner=$user_ID]");

you can used that in the template that you want to appear; eg. in your profile page template
