Please update the database of the User Access Manager

  • A WordPress website which has been running for quite a while has been reconfigured to use multisite. After the configuration to multisite the following message is now displayed:

    Please update the database of the User Access Manager

    The website has a lot of users. Could you please explain why is this coming up and what will be the consequence of updating?

    Should this update be done network wide or just current blog.
