Dead?

Had been using this plugin on a site for a couple years. Just noticed that now clicking days in the widget does nothing but load the overlay screen — not the event info as expected.
I’m not seeing any JS errors, or anything else in Firebug.
Checking the plugin’s site, it’s “under construction”. I saw a comment in this forum from the author saying he was working on a significant update, but that was over a year ago. Is the plugin dead?
