• Hi There
I have attempted to view site from my dashboard but I am getting the “Site Temporarily Unavailable” error with the following error: “bad_httpd_conf”

I have followed the guidance to resolve on Dreamhost but its still an issue.

However, the site is live on my iPhone and iPad?

    Can someone help?

    Cheers
    Rickiet

  • As per the Dreamhost wiki

“We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
    error id: “bad_httpd_conf””

So you should contact their tech support.

Dear WordPress, Given the above response, can someone from WordPress Support please answer my question above regarding the “bad_httpd_conf” error?

Just got this response from WordPress:

That’s a server error – not a WordPress one. I’m sorry but you really need to go back to Dreamhost about this.

I am starting to get very pissed and will start tweeting my discontent at both Dreamhost and WordPress if this is not resolved soon! I have a business to run!!!

@rickiet – We are here to help but there is only so much we can do. This is a server issue and not related to your WordPress installation (which is what we are here to help with). Have you tried to contact Dreamhost about this? Not trying to give you the run-around, just advice that can help solve your issue.
